My name is Roos, born and raised in The Hague, the Netherlands. Starting in July 2021, I will use this platform to write down and document all my experiences whilst living abroad. It’s a way to keep my loved ones back home up to date, but it is also to enjoy and remember all the good and bad stuff.
You will read firstly and mostly about my time as volunteer in Preiļi, Latvia, where I have spend 9 months working at a local pre- and primary school. I’ve always been interested in helping people, and after finishing hairdressing school at the age of 19, I went to Cambodia for four weeks for my first volunteering adventure. Enjoying it so much, that at the age of 25, I decided it was time for the next adventure abroad, but for a little bit longer then 4 weeks. Now that I have finished my time at the project, it’s time to open some new doors.
I don’t know how often I will write something, but no worries, my story about Latvia is not the end, this is just the beginning!
